The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS is 6th-generation Alpha architecture — a comprehensive redesign that kept the 5x120mm bolt pattern but changed the hub bore from 66.9mm to 65.1mm. That single-millimeter shift matters if you are swapping wheels from a 5th-gen SS or shopping used wheels from that era. The 6th gen runs 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 wheels with 275/35R20 / 305/35R20 tires, and the +35 to +45mm offset range on this page is tuned for the revised suspension geometry and wider fender opening of the Gen 6 body. The 2016 launch year brought a significantly stiffer chassis, lighter curb weight, and revised front subframe geometry. The LT1 6.2L replaced the LS3 but the suspension pickup points changed enough that 5th-gen wheel offset data should not be transferred directly. The 6th-gen SS without the 1LE package runs factory 20x8.5 front and 20x9.5 rear — conservative by aftermarket standards and leaving plenty of room for a width increase. The 1LE package launched concurrently with the base SS in 2016 and adds factory 20x9.5 front / 20x10.5 rear staggered on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar rubber. With 275/35R20 / 305/35R20 on 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 wheels, confirm that your tire's section width does not exceed the wheel's intended width range — running a 335 tire on a 20x11 wheel, for example, is at the outer edge of the acceptable mounting range and may roll the sidewall slightly outward, affecting handling precision. The IRS rear suspension on all Gen 6 SS cars is tolerant of wider rear fitments, but inner liner contact under full droop should be checked with the car unloaded and wheel at full rebound travel.
