The 2017 model year is significant for brake-clearance planning because ZL1 production expanded alongside the base, making donor big-brake kits more available. Retrofitting ZL1-spec six-piston Brembos (390mm front) to a base 2017 requires 20-inch wheels at minimum 94mm caliper clearance and ET+23 or deeper. Standard SS 355mm four-piston: 82mm clearance, ET+25 to +37 front window on 20-inch. Rear: the multi-link independent rear suspension creates a camber variance of approximately 1.2 degrees from full droop to full bump — a 275/35R20 that clears at ride height may contact the inner liner at full compression if the wheel sits at ET+20 or below. Safe rear window on 20-inch: ET+25 to +38. 5x120mm bolt pattern unchanged across all 6th-gen years. Lowering 25-30mm on the 2017 reduces effective rear outer clearance by 6-8mm due to negative camber gain. Maximum confirmed rear without fender modification: 275/35R20 on standard suspension.
