The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro SS rides on the Alpha platform with a 5x120mm bolt pattern and a 66.9mm factory hub bore — two specs that define your entire wheel selection on 5th-gen SS builds. Running 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 wheels with 275/35R20 / 305/35R20 tires and an offset in the +35 to +45mm range puts you in proven territory for this chassis, but there are critical clearance details to confirm before ordering. The 2012 model year introduced the Camaro SS 1LE package — a factory track setup that changed the fitment baseline for performance builds. The 1LE ships with a 20x9 front and 20x10 rear staggered setup from the factory on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar rubber. If you are building a street/track dual-purpose setup around this wheel size, the 1LE offset calibration (approximately +32mm front, +22mm rear) is a useful starting reference. 1LE cars also delete the sunroof for top-hat stiffness, which does not affect wheel fitment but changes the weight distribution you are building around. For the 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 combination with 275/35R20 / 305/35R20 tires, confirm inner barrel depth against the Brembo caliper by measuring from wheel mounting face to the inner lip edge. A wheel with insufficient clearance will contact the caliper during steering lock on the front axle. Rear fitment is more forgiving on the SS due to the IRS layout — unlike solid-axle Camaros, the independent rear suspension means no pinion angle penalty when you widen the rear contact patch. The +35 to +45mm offset window listed here accounts for fender liner proximity under full compression, not just static ride height.
