The 2012 Dodge Challenger uses the LC platform with a 5x115mm bolt pattern and 71.5mm hub bore — the same fundamental specification shared across all Challenger production years regardless of trim level. Unlike the Hellcat variant, the base Challenger runs smaller single-piston front calipers that provide significantly more inner barrel clearance flexibility when selecting aftermarket wheels. This page covers 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 wheels with 275/40R20 / 305/35R20 tires in the +35 to +45mm offset range. Early LC-generation Challengers (2008–2014) established the fitment baseline for all subsequent years. The single-piston sliding front caliper on base and R/T trims does not impose the strict inner barrel depth requirements of the Hellcat's 6-piston Brembo — wheels with as little as 35mm of inner barrel depth typically clear without contact. This opens the door to a wider range of aftermarket 20-inch wheels than Hellcat owners have access to. The 5x115mm bolt pattern is Dodge-specific and not shared with Ford or Chevrolet muscle platforms, so cross-brand wheel shopping requires confirming this spec. Hub bore is 71.5mm; Dodge-specific centering rings are needed for wheels bored to 72.6mm or other common sizes. The LC Challenger's rear axle is a live unit — the same solid axle used across the full model range. Rear tire width expansion on a live-axle Challenger is limited by wheel well clearance at full bump: widths beyond 305mm section typically require a mild flare or liner modification at the rear. The 275/40R20 / 305/35R20 rear tire on a 20x9.5 / 20x10.5 rear wheel at +35 to +45mm offset sits within the proven range for stock-height LC applications. Confirm with the car at full suspension compression before extended highway driving, as road impacts can bring the tire close to the inner fender edge.
